Download Forge Island

The full island for Windows, running on your own graphics card.

What you need

• Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit.
• A dedicated graphics card. Anything from the last five years is comfortable.
• About 4 GB of free disk space.
• Nothing else to install. No runtime, no store, no account.

How it works

The download is a small installer. Run it and it installs Forge Island into your user folder, adds a Forge Island shortcut to your desktop and Start menu, downloads the game and starts it. Every launch after that checks for a newer build, fetches only the parts that changed, and starts. You never reinstall anything.

Updates use Epic's own patching system, the one the Epic Games Launcher uses, so a new build usually means a download of megabytes rather than the whole game.

The first time you run it, Windows may warn you about an unrecognized app. That is Windows saying the file did not come from a store it knows, which is true — it came from us. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
